Therapeutic Exercise
Therapeutic Exercise is the systematic performance of prescribed targeted physical movements, postures, or activities intended to enable the patient to:
Maintain or improve range of motion
Increase flexibility and function
Enhance strength and fitness
Reduce risk
Optimize overall health and well-being
At Bull Dawg, we believe that specific, individualized prescribed exercises are critical for maintaining and improving upon the benefits gained by manual therapy. We do not rely on protocols or prematurely prescribed movements that may worsen a condition. Therapeutic exercises may include:
Strength, power, and endurance exercises using therapy bands, dumbbells, therapy balls, and exercise machines such as a stationary bike
Range of motion and stretching exercises
Postural and core stabilization
Balance and gait training
Body mechanics training
