Refresh & Revitalize with Kale Lemonade

I’m excited to share one of my favorite revitalizing beverages with you: Kale Lemonade. It’s a nutrient-packed drink that brings together the earthy goodness of kale, the zesty tang of lemon, and a spicy kick of ginger, rounded out with the sweetness of apple and honey (or maple syrup if you prefer). If you’re looking for a refreshing way to boost your day, this one is for you!

 

Why Kale Lemonade?

This isn't your average lemonade. Here’s why I love it and why I think you’ll love it too:

1. Immune Support: The combination of kale, ginger, and lemon creates an antioxidant-rich powerhouse. It’s perfect for giving your immune system a much-needed boost, especially as we transition through seasonal changes.

Kale Lemonade (Juicer Recipe) — 5 Servings

Using a juicer makes this recipe even simpler, creating a smooth, nutrient-rich drink without the need to strain.

 

Ingredients:

-2 cups kale leaves, tightly packed (stems removed)

-3 lemons, peeled

-1 apple, cored (preferably green apple for tartness)

-2-inch piece of ginger, peeled

-3-4 tablespoons honey or maple syrup, to taste (optional)

-5 cups of water (to dilute and serve)

Instructions:

Prep Your Ingredients:

- Remove the stems from the kale leaves.

- Peel the lemons (to avoid bitterness).

- Core the apple and

- Peel the ginger.

 

Juice:

Feed the kale, lemons, apple, and ginger into your juicer.

- Collect the fresh juice in a pitcher.

Sweeten & Dilute:

 

- Stir in honey or maple syrup, if desired, for sweetness.

- Add the water to dilute the juice to your preferred taste. Mix well.

Serve:

 - Pour over ice and enjoy immediately, or chill in the fridge for a refreshing drink later.
